Can’t get TRANS to locate compiler
    August 04, 2008, 03:25:42 pm

Like many, I am new to Med PC, and I am currently trying to translate and compile a program. Unfortunately, I am working with older versions: MEDPC for Windows and Turbo Pascal 1.5.

Upon marking a program to MAKE (in TRANS) I receive an error message that states that my compiler Turbo Pascal (\TPW) cannot be located and needs to be placed in the AUTOEXEC.BAT pathway.

Here’s the catch: it worked last week once. Last week and now, I have simply renamed current programs that I know are written well (they were used on a previous experiment). I have also tried translating other programs with the same error.

Any help would be appreciated. Thoughts? Jeni

In WTrans go to “Translation | Target Compiler” and make sure that Turbo Pascal is selected. If that doesn’t work open a DOS window (Go to Start | Run and type command). When the DOS window is opened, type TPCW and let me know what you get for a response. You can either post the response here or email me the response.
